Support Refine The Mind

The simplest economic principle is this: people do more of what they’re rewarded for. When you support Refine The Mind, it tells me you value my writing and that I should write more.

(Please never contribute if you are having trouble paying for food, housing, or healthcare.)

There are a few simple ways to support RTM:

1. PayPal

You can make monthly or one-time donations via PayPal. Monthly donations (if only of $1) are preferable, as they promote long-term sustainability. For the cost of buying me a cup of tea or a dark beer each month, you can help make sure the site exists for a long time and cast a vote for a more compassionate, freethinking world.

If a monthly donation is too much of a commitment, you can also toss a one-time sum in the digital tip jar.

2. Patreon

Patreon is a crowdfunding platform for writers, artists, and entrepreneurs of all varieties. It allows fans to support the ongoing work of their favorite creators. PayPal is preferable to Patreon because Patreon takes a larger cut of your donations each month. However, if you prefer Patreon’s service, you can support me over there.

3. Refine The Mind Store

Consider buying something from the Refine The Mind Store.

4. Amazon

No extra money? That’s okay. Another way to support RTM is to use this link to buy things on Amazon that you were already going to buy. Ideally, you should bookmark the link, put it on your browser toolbar, and use it as your portal to Amazon. Amazon will then give me ~5% of every purchase you make, and you won’t even have to think about it. All of the Amazon links to books and things on Refine The Mind itself are also affiliate links, so buying books that I write about (or books in the RTM library) is another way to support me.

5. Blinkist

Blinkist is an awesome service that distills entire non-fiction books into potent 15-minute reads, so you can quickly absorb the major insights of many great books without reading them cover to cover. You can help me out by signing up for a free trial.

 6. Subscribe and Share

If you can’t afford to support Refine The Mind monetarily, that’s cool. I understand. In that case, you can share my writing with anyone you think might appreciate it. You can also subscribe to my newsletter to get every new post in your inbox.

When you subscribe, I’ll send you a free copy of my eBook, A Short Guide to Exiting the Rat Race and Living a Radically Free Life. It’s 28 pages of insight on how to leave the world of traditional work.
